PRESCHOOL & CHILDREN
Safety and Security
We understand that parents have three basic questions when they drop off their kids:
- Will my child be safe?
- Will they have fun?
- Will my child learn something?
The preschool and children’s ministry at FBCC responds to all three with a resounding “YES!”
We use a computer check-in system that prints badges for the child and parent, and the child is only released to the person presenting the matching badge. And all of our teachers have background checks and are trained to work in their area of ministry.
Each of our areas and classrooms is designed for that specific age and are equipped with age-appropriate furnishings and toys.
Teaching takes place in ALL classrooms… yes, even the nursery. We understand that you expect more than just childcare. You bring your child to church to experience God’s truth and learn Bible lessons that reinforce the spiritual training that you are doing.
Along with the age-graded classes during Sunday school and the Sunday morning worship time, we have activities for children during ALL services – Saturday Night Life, Sunday evening and Wednesday evening.
PARENTS IN THE CLASSROOMS
We encourage parents to visit their child’s class and meet their teachers.
Each teacher and volunteer should be easily identified by the name tag they wear. Any parent who wishes to observe a classroom must obtain a visitor badge from the check-in desk. Visitors will be asked to observe from the back of the classroom, away from the children.
A children’s ministry Director will contact you through the security tag system if there is any type of emergency concerning your child. Please keep an eye on the overhead screens in the worship center.
Food allergies are noted on the child portion of the check-in tag. Infants are also given an ALLERGY ALERT tag to ensure all workers know of the allergy. PLEASE inform the Check-in workers of any allergies we need to be aware of. Preschoolers snacks are limited to Goldfish, puffs, or animal crackers unless otherwise noted by teachers as a project in their class. Infants are only fed what the parents include in their diaper bags.
Opportunites to Serve
God has given us a clear vision to reach, teach, and equip His children, but we can’t do it alone. On any given Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday, our Leadership Team members (volunteer leaders) are teaching, leading worship, praying, leading small groups, providing supervision, helping with set up and tear down, and serving in other ways in order to help us train a generation of world changers (your children). Whether you want to be in front of the children or behind the scenes, we have opportunities that match your gifting and desire. If you need more information, please email Steve.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SERVE PLEASE CLICK HERE AND FILL OUT THE FORM.
Just A Reminder
Please make sure that your children are well enough to attend:
- Free of illness symptoms
- Fever-free for 24 hours prior to attendance
When in doubt, please use the GOLDEN RULE!
For your child’s safety, PLEASE LABEL THEIR THINGS. We are happy to provide a marker and tape if you need them. We will also gladly provide you with a tag for your child’s bag.
We have computer check-in systems for our Children’s Ministry. Only parents should use these terminals. Please ask a worker if you need assistance.
